Team India (India Tour to Australia) tour of Australia continues to hurt players. Now the name of young batsman KL Rahul has also been added to the list of injured players. Rahul had a sprain in his left wrist during net practice before the Sydney Test.

Rahul’s injury was in net practice in Melbourne, but after a few days of monitoring his injury, Fyzio decided that this batsman would not be available for the remaining 2 Tests of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

There are 2 Test matches left in this series of 4 Tests, which are to be played in Sydney and Brisbane. The command of the Indian team is currently in the hands of Ajinkya Rahane and the series is still at 1-1 level. However, Team India will not have any problems due to Rahul’s injury as Rahul did not get a chance in the first 2 Tests of the series, and also in the absence of Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma got a chance in the team and he has joined the team.

In a press release issued by the BCCI, the wicketkeeper-batsman suffered a sprain during net practice in Melbourne on Saturday. On Tuesday, it became clear that now this batsman will not be able to take part in the remaining series. He will need 3 weeks of rest to recover from this injury, after which he will be able to regain his full fitness.

Rahul will now return to India and rehab in the NCA in Bengaluru. He is the third Indian player on this tour, who is out of the series due to injury. Before him, fast bowlers Mohammed Shami and Umesh Yadav have also been injured.
