
- ICC ODI World Cup qualifier matches date revealed
- Out of this tournament to be held in Zimbabwe, two teams will play in the World Cup.
The qualifier matches of the ICC’s one-day World Cup to be held in India in 2023 will be held in Zimbabwe. The ODI World Cup qualifier will be played between 18 June and 9 July 2023 in Zimbabwe. India will organize this World Cup, so the Indian team will get direct entry into it. Apart from this, the top seven teams will also get direct entry. There will be qualifier matches between the lowest-ranked five teams, out of which two best teams will get an entry in the 2023 World Cup.
The ICC Head of Events said that when the World Cup was rescheduled to October and November, we also got a chance to expand the window of qualifier matches. Therefore, we are trying to bring more and more qualification opportunities to the field. He also said that we have worked closely with members and stakeholders to reschedule 96 ODIs and 60 List-A matches and will continue to maintain the safety of participants as a top priority.
Cricket World Cup League 2 organized next year
Cricket World Cup League will start in March next year. The first match will be between the USA and Oman from 19 March. Nepal will also join it. In this way, 96 matches will be played before the World Cup 2023 with different series.
The Cricket World Cup Challenge League A will be played in August next year, with Canada hosting it. Teams from countries such as Denmark, Malaysia, Qatar, Singapore, and Vanuatu will participate. A total of 15 matches will take place during this period. Challenge A final is scheduled to be held in September 2022.
The Cricket World Cup Challenge League B will be held in Jersey in September 2021, with Bermuda, Hong Kong, Italy, Kenya, and Uganda competing in 15 matches, with the final being held in February 2022. Comparisons can be quite interesting.
