- The Hulkster reappears on WWE programming for the first time in nearly a year
- Other legends and former wrestlers made an appearance tonight
During the RAW Legends Night broadcasts on the USA Network, WWE Hall of Fame member Hulk Hogan made his return to company programming for the first time in nearly a year of absence.
“The Hulkster” was one of the names of the past that have had more prominence tonight on RAW. In addition to being in charge of opening the show from backstage, Hulk Hogan appeared to support Drew McIntyre in the face of his title match against Keith Lee. The WWE Hall of Fame member would reappear on the scene before the main event, being one of the many legends who watched the aforementioned showdown.
Hulk Hogan stayed out of WWE programming for eleven months
This is Hulk Hogan’s first appearance in WWE since February 14, 2020, on Friday Night SmackDown. On that occasion, Hogan was part of a teleconference that was interrupted by Bray Wyatt from his Firefly FunHouse. It should be noted that the leader of the Hulkamania still has his second induction to the WWE Hall of Fame pending. “The Hulkster” was nominated for the Class of 2020 as part of the New World Order alongside Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, and X-Pac. However, the COVID-19 pandemic prevented the ceremony from taking place.
Other legends were present on Monday Night RAW
In addition to Hulk Hogan, a host of fighters from the past were in attendance tonight. Most of them only starred in a segment backstage or a very brief appearance on stage. The names seen this week on RAW were: Teddy Long, Alicia Fox, Tatanka, Mickie James, Sgt. Slaughter, Ric Flair, Big Show, Jimmy Hart, Mark Henry, Molly Holly, IRS, Melina, Torrie Wilson, The Boogeyman, Ron Simmons, Booker T, Jeff Jarrett, and Bill Goldberg.
