Sony Pictures announced Friday that the last chapter of this”Hotel Transylvania” series is going to be known as”Hotel Transylvania: Transformania,” and its Release date is going to probably be transferred to July 23.
Made by Genndy Tartakovsky and starring Adam Sandler, Selena Gomez, and Andy Samberg, the three”Hotel Transylvania” movies have grossed over $1.3 billion at the worldwide box office, getting Sony Pictures Animation’s most rewarding franchise. Jennifer Kluska and Derek Drymon will take more than supervisors on”Transformania,” although Tartakovsky will remain on as screenwriter and executive producer. Alice Dewey Goldstone is making the movie with Gomez and Michelle Murdocca executive producing.
In its new Release slot, “Hotel Transylvania: Transformania” faces no immediate opening contest since the only other wide release set for this weekend is that the M. Night Shyamalan horror movie”Old.” Its principal contest for family audiences comes before and afterward, as Warner Bros. will release”Space Jam: A New Legacy” in theatres and on HBO Max on July 16 while Disney will Release Jungle Cruise” on July 30.
Additional Sony releases this summer include the animated movie”Vivo” on June 4, “Peter Rabbit 2″ on July 2, along with a musical adaptation of”Cinderella” on July 16. The studio has also moved some of its main movies to the autumn, for example, “Venom: There’ll Be Carnage” on September 24.
