Hilda is an animated TV series based on a children’s novel of the same name by Luke Pearson. The show followed the adventures of an 11-year-old girl named Hilda and is produced by Silvergate Media and Mercury Filmworks. The animated series first aired on 21st September 2018 as a Netflix Original and garnered critical acclaim. Season 2 of Hilda was announced on 8th October 2018 and is scheduled to release on 14th December, 2020. A short film with the same name is also currently under production.

The Plot So Far…

This animated series narrates the story of Hilda, a blue-haired young fearless girl who grew up in a cabin in the woods with her mother. During her growing up years, she wishes to leave the forest full of magical elves and giants to the town of Trolberg. She later befriends a deerfox named Twig an elf named Alfur and humans David and Frida. They all together go for some adventures within the city interacting and befriending various mysterious spirits and magical animals. Some of the creatures do turn out to be kind and friendly but are dangerous and Hilda along with her group learn to handle such hazards.

In the final episode of season 1, a black hound terrorizes the city of Trolberg and Hilda along with her group of friends makes it her mission to help Nisse Tontu even if she has less time to earn Scout Badges.

The Release Date Of Season 3

There are rumors that the makers of Hilda will return with a season 3, but as of now, there are no official announcements. Only after the audience response to season 2, there will be any room for season 3.
