The novel about James Harden’s future has come to an end. The winger is leaving the Houston Rockets and will join stars Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving in the Brooklyn Nets. The information was released this afternoon by journalists Adrian Wojnarowski, from ESPN American, and Shams Chanaria, from Stadium.
But this is not a simple transfer. The change of atmosphere of “Barba” came about after a “mega-exchange” involving four teams in the NBA. In addition to the Rockets and Nets, the Indiana Pacers and Cleveland Cavaliers were also in the negotiation.
See The Details Of James Harden’s Transfer Trip:
- Brooklyn Nets hosts James Harden;
- Houston Rockets picks up Victor Oladipo (replaced by Indiana Pacers), Dante Exum, Rodions Kurucs, as well as four first-round choices and four exchange choices in the draft;
- Cleveland Cavaliers receives Jarret Allen and Taurean Prince (both leaving the Nets);
- Indiana Pacers receives Caris LeVert (replaced by Brooklyn Nets).
The “mega-exchange” comes a day after James Harden publicly complains and once again expresses his intention to leave Houston. In an interview after the loss to the Los Angeles Lakers, the star said the situation in the Rockets “was not something that could be fixed”. He had a contract until 2023.
In the Nets, Harden will meet Kevin Durant. They played together in Oklahoma City Thunder and reached the NBA finals in 2012.
