Grey’s Anatomy is an American medical drama that originated in 2005 and is a continuous show has obtained much love because of its work during its series time and is believed to be among the most viewed shows ever.

The series revolves around physicians and nurses who try to balance their professional and personal life to the very best of their skills.

The series was restored because of its eighteenth season with its star Ellen Pompeo returning for her now very famous role – Meredith Grey. The season 17 of this show is now running on television using its finale episode on June 3rd but enthusiasts do not have to worry, as of today, as there is going to be one more season.

The show was created by Shonda Thimes using the initial cast of Ellen Pompeo, Patrick Dempsey, Chandra Wilson, and Sandra Oh.

Since then, the series has gained and lost a lot of characters and through the years we’ve observed numerous members of the cast go and come. It was recently announced that longtime star, Jesse Williams, who directed the personality of Dr. Jackson Avery back in Grey’s Anatomy season 6, is going to be the next to leave after season 17 concludes. Regardless of the many cast exchanges, Pompeo operated for all these years, in retaining her lead role as Meredith Grey.

Together with Grey Anatomy’s renewal for one more season, its spin-off show, Station 19 was also renewed for a season 5 on the community and the shows will continue to be led by its showrunner – Krista Vernoff.

There anyway wasn’t any reason to cancel the series as according to current reports, both shows are the most-viewed scripted series of ABC.

Earlier there were rumors going around about season 17 to be the last season of this series and now even with the renewal, one cannot be sure about the season’s long term as it has been renewed for only another season.

However, in spite of the fact that any of the approaching seasons might be it’s last, nothing could alter the simple fact that the heritage of the series has been cemented by its long term and introduced new heights and stardom to numerous new characters. So, the show may end but it’s fab after wouldn’t.
