Netflix’s strong and divisive new family drama, Ginny & Georgia, has yet to be officially renewed for a second season. On the other hand, the very first season finale left fans with plenty of unanswered questions, and co-lead Antonia Gentry has a fantastic idea of where the show could be headed next.
Ginny And Georgia Season 2 Cast
The major cast for this series has Brianne Howey as 30-year-old Georgia Miller, Nikki Roumel as adolescent Georgia Miller, Antonia Gentry as Ginny Miller, who is much more mature than her mother, and finally Diesel La Torraca as Austin Miller, Georgia’s 9-year-old kid and Ginny’s half brother.
When Would Season Two Be Released?
Together with COVID-19 still wreaking havoc on release dates and shooting schedules, the normal timeline is in shambles. On top of the typical considerations–including actors’ schedules and script development–it may be a year or longer until the second season could be released when Netflix did order more episodes.
1 bit of good news: The first season took four months to film, per Tom’s Guide, so if the cast and production team can be wrangled in a timely fashion, we might potentially expect to see it in a year’s time. Often, Netflix series air annually after the previous season aired–seeHaunting of Hill House; You–but with so much up in the air because of COVID-19, that is not a certainty. Still, we could hopefully expect the next season to be published in early 2022.
