founder and Steam owner Gabe Newell were excited about using our brains to directly interact with games in the future. That is why it is working with various OpenBCI Virtual Reality headsets to create open-source software to encourage developers to think about the possibilities it can bring to the gaming world.

BCI is the acronym for the brain-computer interface or brain-computer interface. The technology is currently used to help people with motor limitations and other bodily restrictions. Using BCI makes it possible for these people to control machines and communicate using signals from their brains directly.

Gabe Newell sees vast possibilities in technology for the future of gaming. So much so that he considers this to be a way to make virtual experiences much more interesting than living in the real world, he said in a recent interview with 1 News in New Zealand.

Cyberpunk 2077 hacks and gamblers must already be wondering about the security issue involved in using a BCI in such a widespread way. The owner of Valve did not ignore this possibility.

No one will want to say ‘Hey, do you remember Bob? Remember how Bob got hacked by that Russian malware? That sucked. Is he still running naked through the woods? ‘ People will have to be very confident that these systems are safe and will not have long-term health risks, Gabe joked.

However, Newell was very excited about the future of this technology. Let’s remember that Valve has been betting on Virtual Reality for years as the future of video games. Without going any further, Half-Life Alyx is the reflection of that vision, and it is also the best VR game to date. So we’ll see what new Gabe will bring us in the future.
