Frontier is a Canadian historical action drama on Netflix. The creators of the series are Rob Blackie and Peter Blackie. The series first aired on Discovery Canada. Eventually, they become co-producers along with Netflix. The show received appreciation from fans for storytelling. Frontier received an average score of 52 out of 100 and was labelled moderate. Despite facing poor response from critics the show has a solid fanbase. Fans love the depiction of Canada’s history. Frontier is shot in some brilliant locations all over Canada.

Plot 

The series belongs to the North American fur trade in the 1700s in Canada. Declan Harp played by the infamous Jason Momoa is an Irish rebel who does not agree with the big thugs in the business. He believes Hudson’s Bay Company is corrupt and illegal. It encourages illegal activities to increase their assets.

Season 3 ended on a cliffhanger with Declan attacking Lord Benton’s castle. Finally, the monopoly of Lord Benton will end. Season four might bring the end of Hudson’s Bay Company. This means their removal from the global fur business.

Release Date

Frontier Season one released in 2016 and subsequently the rest of the seasons were released every year. Season four was expected to release in 2019. Unfortunately, this could not happen because of the pandemic. The initial date for release was 14 July 2020 but there is no renewal date for season four. The makers have still not given us any details about the show. Although it might release in mid-2021 on Netflix.
