During the NXT broadcast through USA Network Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalez defeated Aliyah and Jessi Kamea in the first edition of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Women’s tournament.
Raquel Gonzalez had much of the control of the fight, physically beating Aliyah and Kamea. Dakota had a brief participation in the fight trying to maintain the advantage for his team. Finally, Raquel hit a Clothesline followed by a Chokeslam to get the victory.
This Friday, the first round of the tournament will end in a match between Marina Shafir and the debutant Zoey Stark, Lacey Ryan against Shotzi Blackheart & Ember Moon. For next Wednesday, NXT announced that Raquel Gonzalez and Dakota Kai will face Kayden Carter and Kacy Catanzaro in the semifinals of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic women’s tournament.
