During the Royal Rumble 2021 broadcasts via WWE Network, superstar Christian returned to action as a contender for the men’s battle royal.
In the midst of the extensive day that resulted in the 30 superstar battle royale, seemingly retired competitor Christian offered a surprise comeback as the 24th entrant. Quickly, Captain Charisma teamed up with his partner and best friend Edge to bypass various talents in the company.

His participation in the combat reached the last five men standing, being eliminated by Seth Rollins while struggling with Braun Strowman. Notably, Christian has been a retired competitor for more than six years. The former Heavyweight champion suffered a concussion during a fatal 4-way held on Monday Night RAW in February 2014, which forced him to retire after a nearly 20-year career with companies such as WWE and TNA.
Christian Played With A Ring Return In 2020
Interestingly, the return of The Captain Charisma had been hinted at when he participated in Monday Night RAW on June 15, 2020. Christian faced Randy Orton in a fight without sanctions that closed those broadcasts. The fight concluded with a low blow from Ric Flair towards Christian before Orton’s Punt Kick for the latter’s victory by the count of three.
