- Charlotte Flair claims Asuka was the one who really pushed her forward in her WWE career
Charlotte Flair was a guest on the recent RAW Talk broadcast that aired after the last Monday Night RAW show. Charlotte stated that her victory against Asuka at Wrestlemania 34 boosted her in her WWE career and that she had everything to prove in that match.
“I don’t think I had a chance to say this, but I really think that when I beat Asuka with her undefeated streak, it really solidified my legacy. She propelled me through my career that night. Asuka knew what it takes to be on top. and I know that she is constantly, so I respect her, I know what that requires. I am going to be a great teammate of hers. Being with a woman I respect makes me feel more special, “said Charlotte Flair.
Asuka and Charlotte Flair were rivals previously and Charlotte ended Asuka’s 914-day undefeated streak in WWE at the 2018 WrestleMania edition, in addition to retaining the Smackdown Women’s Championship.
At the last WWE PPV, TLC, Charlotte Flair returned from her absence in June. She was Asuka’s mystery partner with whom she won the WWE Women’s Tag Team titles.
