
The Mandalorian season 2 finale, “The Rescue,” revealed that a new Star Wars television show, The Book of Boba Fett, is coming to Disney + in December 2021.
Boba Fett’s book , a program derived from Star Wars, Disney reach + in December 2021, as confirmed in the Mandalorian end of season 2. The Mandalorian Season 2, Episode 8, ‘Chapter 16: The Rescue ” wrapped up his current arc, but also made sure to sow some important seeds for the future of Star Wars. Chief among them is Boba Fett, who returned to the beginning of season 2, and is now an even greater part of the plans of Disney and Lucasfilm.
Having first appeared in The Empire Strikes Back, before receiving an ignominious death in Return of the Jedi, fans have long expected to see more of Boba Fett in Star Wars. Planned films focusing on the bounty hunter never came to fruition, and the Mandalorian had apparently taken place in the galaxy of Star Wars. That it was until the premiere of Season 2 of The Mandalorian, which confirmed that Boba Fett had survived the Sarlacc. After having joined Din Djarin, “The Rescue” puts it in his own way.
In the post-credits scene from The Mandalorian season 2 finale, Boba Fett and Fennec Shand return to Tatooine and, more specifically, to Jabba’s Palace, where Bib Fortuna now reigns. Boba and Fennec clean the house, with the former taking his place as the new ruler of the Palace, and presumably the crime on Tatooine. The episode then reveals that The Book of Boba Fett will arrive in December 2021, setting up a new Star Wars spin-off show.
