Black Summer to return with Season 2: Cast, plot, release date and what to expect.

BLACK SUMMER SEASON 2

The Netflix original Zombie drama ‘Black Summer’ is coming up with a brand new season 2. The first season of the show contained 8 episodes and received a good response from the audience and the critics.

Black summer is created by Karl Schaefer and John Hyams and produced by The Asylum, the same production company behind Z Nation, for Netflix. Its first episode aired on 11th April 2019.

BLACK SUMMER SEASON 2: Cast

The main cast of Black Summer includes:

  • Jaime King as Rose,
  • Justin Chu Cary as Julius James
  • Christine Lee as Ooh “Sun” Kyungsun
  • Sal Velez Jr as William Velez
  • Kelsey Flower as Lance
  • Erika Hau as Carmen

BLACK SUMMER SEASON 2: Plot

The story narrates an early onset of the Zombie apocalypse where Rose is separated from her daughter named Anna. Rose is determined to find her daughter come what may. Due to the apocalypse soldiers are relocating people at a stadium but Anna is unable to make it along with her parents and that’s when Rose decides to find her daughter and save her from the chaotic zombies.

Eventually, Rose does reunite with her daughter but unfortunately, the Army outside the stadium is overrun by Zombies.

Even after a bitter-sweet ending of Rose uniting with her daughter, the future of the ones trapped in the stadium is highly questionable with zombies raging on the streets. Season 2 is definitely going to take off from here and build upon the plot of humans vs zombies.
