During the Friday Night SmackDown broadcasts on FOX, superstar Big E had to be hospitalized after suffering an attack by Apollo Crews. The blue show episode kicked off the action with a match between Shinsuke Nakamura and Apollo Crews. Big E was featured at the commentary table for this fight, but his liking faded when Crews pitched his rival against him. The fight continued as normal until Nakamura was victorious after applying a Roll-Up in response to his opponent’s Military Press.

Apollo Crews followed the attack on Nakamura after the match, but Big E quickly stopped it. Crews got tired of his ex-friend’s scolding and took a steel step to hit the intercontinental champion. Following his fit of rage, Apollo decided to take the step into the ring and throw it at Big E from above. The latter had to be treated quickly and was taken by ambulance to the nearest hospital. WWE is expected to provide more details regarding this event in the next few hours.
Apollo Attacked Big E Last Week
After losing multiple times to Big E for the Intercontinental Championship, Apollo Crews has been denied a nine-starting shot in favor of giving it to Shinsuke Nakamura. Last week, Crews broke into a heads-up between The King of Strong Style and Big E to attack the latter and lay him on the canvas.
