The Australian cricket team will wear a specially designed indigenous jersey in the T20 series against India. The first match of the three-match T20 series will be played on 4 December in Canberra. The remaining two matches will be held in Sydney on 6 and 8 December.
In fact, the Australian cricket team will wear a specially designed indigenous jersey in the T20 series against India to honor the contribution of the indigenous inhabitants of Australia in cricket.
The design of the jersey was unveiled by Cricket Australia (CA) last month, designed by Asics and two indigenous women (Aunt Fiona Clarke and Courtney Hajen).
According to Cricket.com, AU Clark is a descendant of the late cricketer ‘Maskito’ Cousens, who was an indigenous player in the team during England in 1868.
This design is dedicated to former, present and future players of indigenous origin. The Australian women’s cricket team also wore such a jersey in a match against England earlier this year.
