The Australia A team has been announced for the three-day day-night practice match against India in Sydney from 11 December. Alex Carrey has been named captain of the 12-man squad. The first practice match was played between India and Australia from 6 to 8 December in Sydney.

In the Australia A’s 12-man squad, five players have been given a chance to play in the first practice match. It features Joe Burns, Cameron Green, Marcus Harris, Nick Madison, and Mark Steketee. Apart from these players, captain Alex Carrey, Sean Abbott, Harry Conway, Moises Henriques, Ben McDermott, Will Sutherland, and Mitchell Swapson are included.

Australia opener David Warner has been ruled out of the first day-night Test against India in Adelaide due to injury and young batsman Will Bukowski can make his Test debut, but Karthik in the first practice match against India was retired after Tyagi was hit in the helmet and that is why he has not been included in the second practice match squad.

In the first practice match, Cameron Green performed well for Australia A and scored 125 runs in the first innings. Apart from him, Mark Steketee had bowled brilliantly in the second innings of the Indian team and took five wickets. Michael Naser took four wickets in the match, while James Pattinson also took three wickets in the first innings.

In India’s first practice match, Ajinkya Rahane scored a century in the first innings, while Cheteshwar Pujara scored the first and Wriddhiman Saha scored a half-century in the second winnings.
