After season of waiting, Attack on Titan fans will be seeing the anime in no time. The show will release its fourth and final season this month under the direction of MAPPA Studio. Of course, fans are used to WIT Studio overseeing the series, and this studio change has left fans wary of what’s to come. To reassure fans, director Yuichiro Hayashi did an in-depth interview about season four, and it was there that the leader discussed the big payoff from Attack on Titan’s finale.

First, Hayashi spoke about the studio’s reaction to the fan response to the initial trailer for Attack on Titan Last Season which first announced that MAPPA would take over  “With the start of The last season just around the corner, we were surprised by the overwhelming response to the [trailer] released in May.

Developing further, Hayashi commented on how MAPPA is up to the challenge, “It seems we have taken on a great project…”, said Hayashi, “But there is no going back now, so this season we have been working on with the new team and recreate it through animation «. But the most interesting aspect of Hayashi’s statement is what the season director jokes about the final moments of the anime in general.

‘No one knows how the manga will end,’ Hayashi joked, ‘but we will be able to reach the climax of this great story. It may be the ‘end’, but we still have a long way to go. So I hope you can enjoy it to the end. Interestingly, Hayashi seems to indicate that the anime team does not know how the manga will end, and that could be a good indication that the anime could last longer than expected or at least long after the manga comes to an end. finish.

Either that or Hayashi is being simplistic about the situation because it would be strange if series creator Hajime Isayama doesn’t communicate how the ending in the manga will unfold to the anime team. Then again, that’s not the weirdest idea either, as the manga will be ending in a few months anyway. But what do you think? Ready for Attack on Titan ‘s final season?
