Arthdal Chronicles is a South Korean television series that premiered in 2019. It’s regarded as the first Korean historical fantasy drama written by Kim Young-Hyun and Park Sang-Yeon and led by Kim Won-Seok under the production of Studio Dragon and KPJ. It premiered internationally on Netflix. The story occurs in a mythical land called Arth during the Bronze Age where the inhabitants of the ancient city of Arthdal deal with power struggles and adore.

Eun-seom has to confront hardships to bring back his tribe to life and learns of his true origins from the process. The show was the sixth most preferred Korean play in the US and entered the list of highest-rated Korean dramas in cable television. The series received mixed reviews from critics. The show has received positive reviews for its story and one-of-a-kind setting with emotional elements such as the significance of tribe, patriotism, and religion.

There have been comparisons of this show with Game of Thrones, however, author Park Sang-Yeon said he would not think of comparing the show and it isn’t their goal to make something similar. He also stated he would also enjoy the viewers not to draw any comparisons and watch the series as it’s. The show has a massive fan base all over the world. The series gives visual enjoyment because of its incredible camera work.

Arthdal Chronicles was renewed for season 2 on 2nd February 2020. On the other hand, the show hasn’t started filming on account of the outbreak. Therefore no official release date has been mentioned yet. The major cast will be returning in the new season. No further updates are available regarding the second season. Until then fans have to await their preferred show a little more before they can appreciate more K-drama.

The series does not disappoint its viewers. It is amazing to see ancient activity and play alongside some romance. All the elements of the show blend easily to give it a terrific finish. The cast is amazing, bringing all the characters alive well. If a person hasn’t watched the show one needs to watch it before the release of the Arthdal Chronicles Season 2.
