The next season of After Life was confirmed by Netflix back in May 2020. The renewal news emerged after only a few days of the release of this second season. At that time, Ricky Gervais signed a multi-project bargain which includes After Life season 3. However, the third period is still in pre-production due to this coronavirus pandemic. The creation is postponed for security reasons.
The production will take a long time to start. It will commence in April 2021, and after that, it is going to take more time to complete. So we can’t expect the next season to release soon on Netflix. Now we’re hoping After Life season 3 to release sometime in 2022.
