Grey’s Anatomy Season 18

ABC sets an official premiere date Grey’s Anatomy Season 18. Season 18. Television’s longest-running medical drama isn’t going away. The show has endured many casting changes and crazy plot twists through the years. Ellen Pompeo’s Meredith Grey has remained the leader of the doctors throughout it all. Grey-Sloan Memorial Hospital through its many trials, tribulations. The coronavirus outbreak, which resulted in the death of countless people, was perhaps the most recent. Grey’s AnatomyIt’s the most unusual and possibly most surprising season yet. Grey’s AnatomyAfter a slow start to the pandemic season 17, season 17 concluded last month.

Shonda Rhimes’ series Grey’s Anatomy was an enormous success. There was speculation that the show could be ending during season 17. Meredith spent the majority of the 17 episodes fighting COVID. She also reconnected with family members (like Patrick Dempsey and Derek Shepherd) while on a metaphorical sandy beach. It appeared that the show was planning an exit. ABC signed Pompeo to a renewed contract for another year in May. It allowed ABC to renew Grey’s Anatomy.

A month and a half have passed since the last season ended. Now, the network has released the official date for Grey-Sloan’s return. The officialGrey’s Anatomy A social media account has announced that season 18 of the series will premiere on Thursday, September 309/8c. This means that the series will keep its regular Thursday night spot through the 2021-22 season.

 

Grey’s Anatomy didn’t return last fall so this premiere in September is more normal. It isn’t clear yet how many episodes Season 18 will include. Apart from Pompeo, Chandra Wilson Jr. and James Pickens Jr. will be returning for the next season. Kim Raver and Camilla Luddington will join them. Grey’s Anatomy 17 had a few series regulars go, most notably Jesse Williams.

Now comes the big question: Grey’s anatomy season 18 will be it’s final? Pompeo’s most recent contract is nearly finished, so it remains to be seen if Pompeo will resign. rey’s Anatomy This is still an excellent performer for ABC. If the powers that be (and Pompeo), desire it to, it could easily go on. For now, however, it may be better to accept season 18 as it stands. Meredith, along with her fellow doctors, had enough challenges last year. There will likely be even more. It all starts in the autumn.
