When Indexing a document is it possible to boost the importance of a document, so it has higher chance of showing up when the user searched for it?

The latest Document object includes this method:
public void setBoost(float boost). This has not been released, so you'll have to get the latest nightly build.

Can you be more specific on the question? What kind of importance is mentioned here? Or shall it be the performance thats you actually means?
