Using IDEA 2.6 I sometimes observe significant idle-times for garbage collecting (>1 minute). This might be, because I run WLS 7.0 within IDEA for easier debugging.


To improve the GC behaviour I thought about changing the JRE that is used for running IDEA. In particular I wanted to use BEA-JRockit for running IDEA.


Is it possible to switch the JRE that is used for executing IDEA?

Do you start IDEA from EXE or from BAT file?
