When you tell Ant 1.4.1 to use an existing MANIFEST.MF file, it seems to take the contents of this file and include it in a newly generated Ant 1.4.1 MANIFEST.MF file. The problem with this is that the newly generated file seems to take the Class-Path entries and split them up over multiple lines. I do not want this to happen as i'm concerned the class loader will not deal with this very happily. I know that in the previous version of Ant 1.3, it simply used the MANIFEST that you provided without question (no changes made to it or anything). Does anyone know a workaround for this problem?

There are line-length rules (72 characters, I believe) for a manifest file. Ant strictly adheres to this spec. Rather than simply be concerned, do you have any evidence that the lines being split is causing a problem?
