I'm trying to precompile jsp files into .class files using jspc, which converts the jsp files into .java files. Now I'm trying to compile those .java files into class files using JDK 1.3.1. Based on a previous similar (old) thread, I have the /lib folder containing the tools.jar library in my CLASSPATH (though I don't think this jar file has what I need in it). Unfortunately, the compiler can't find the javax.servlet packages/subpackages/classes or the org.apache.jasper.runtime package when I try to compile. I've searched my computer for them, but can't find those class files or package folders anywhere (so I assume they're in an executable .jar file somewhere). Where does Tomcat put those classes so I can include them in the compilation?    More>>

Thanks.
