When using a jdbc 2.0 driver as a XAResource,
in the midst of a transaction, if the network connection
is lost to the database server (before prepare() is called)
or say the server crashes, is it possible after recovery to continue the transaction with the same xid or does the database server implicitly rolls back the transaction the moment the network connection is lost. Is it implementation dependent?
Since we here use an external TM and the database is a RM, and we know the xid explicitly, is it possible to have the transaction not immediately rollback after a crash.
Thanks in advance
