I have multiple clients in different locale sending data to an english server through applets. The clients typically send some string through UTF-8 encoding which the server reads properly. If I have to do some string operations on the server like string compare, concatenation, how should I do it.
Does the Collator class which uses the default Locale of the server i.e. english appropriate for this.
Typical operation can be like comparing a Japanese Text String and an English Text String.(This should obviously return false) or appending a Japanese Text to English Text but how can I detect this programatically?
