Defrag your hard drive! VAJ fragments your drive. Get a good defragmenter like Diskeeper and run it a couple of times. If you are Running NT 4, also run the boot time defragmenter.

This will solve your problem!

Good Luck!

When using VAJ, it is best not to use the source view for changing code, better off make the change in the actual method itself. This is one of the primary causes for it crashing if the class has a large amount of code in it.

That is certainly not normal. Its possible your workspace may have become corrupt. You could try replacing it and see if that solves the problem. See I have read about replacing the workspace file ide.icx with a "clean" or "fresh" one. How do I do that?
