We are running Websphere 4.0 on a AIX box and Apache 1.3.22 as webserver running in another a Solaris box. We were facing problems when posting large amount of data(we were not able to parse the parameter values from the request object as it was getting jumbled up). For example, if the length of the value obtained from request.getParameter() was above 2500(although this number was different at different hits but always above 2000), the parameter values were jumbled up with vbscript code, junk characters etc. We searched some newsgroups and found that the fixpack 2 will solve the above problem. We have applied fixpack2 to the AIX box which actually had fixes for three, the Webserver(the IBM Http Server that comes with Websphere), the Appserver and the IBM jdk. Even after applying the fixpack, the above problem is not fixed. We suspect that since Apache is is the webserver and since it's in a different box, the fix would not be applied.

When we applied the patch on a local environment on a NT box with Appserver and IBM Http server(both residing in the same box), it fixed the above problem. So we are pretty sure that fixpack 2 would solve this.

Do anybody have an running environment as we do and faced a similar problem before.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks
