How does one read in a tiff in Java 1.4 (Without JAI).

I know I need an ImageReader or something like that for tiffs, but I cannot find anything on the web that explains this.

I don't really understand what you're trying to say. But, anyway, if you wish to read & display TIFF (without JAI), you can try using Lizard's TIFF Library for Java.



I'd suggest you use JAI though. Anyway, what's your concerns over not using JAI?
