About rebooting router

After changing a router name say from router1 to blahblah swiftmq explorer asks to reboot the router1 to activate the change .After rebooting the router it displays one information box saying reboot launch in 10 seconds.But after 10 sec it throws an exception saying connection lost .It restarts the router without changing the name of the router.
What could be the reason ?

Hi!

Before rebooting do:

- right click on router name

- select Save configuration

- reboot
