I would like to know how do I use the saxon.jar in tomcat to replace the jaxp.jar and paser.jar? Because I have tried to remove these 2 default jar files, but tomcat had error when restart the service. Error message as follow:

javax.xml.parsers.ParserConfigurationException: AElfred parser is namespace-aware

Please guide. Thanks !

If you want to use a different XML parser with your applications (especially one that comes with updated SAX and DOM interfaces), you'll have to leave the existing parser.jar and jaxp.jar in Tomcat's lib directory, and make your new jar file alphabetically first (when I did this, I user Xerces and made it AAA-xerces.jar).

You have to leave the old poarser in there because Tomcat uses it internally. You are still free to use your new parser if you want.
