When I use HttpSession in my servlets, the time that passes between I ask for the HttpSession (in the code) and when I get the session is very large (more than 2 or 3 minutes) and sometimes the browser cuts the conexion (timeout). It occurs the first time I ask for the HttpSession objetct, not in the nexts requests. And I'm accesing via port 80. Is occurs when I use the POST method in the HTML form on the page that calls the servlet. If I use the GET method the result changes but, this time the session is available in 15 or 30 seconds, and I think that it's to much time again. In other application servers the time is 0.    More>>

If I use the GET method the result changes but, this time
the session is available in 15 or 30 seconds, and I think that
it's to much time again.
In other application servers the time is 0.

I am running Jakarta Tomcat version 3.3a with Apache 1.3.22 in
Windows NT.

I am using de mod_jk.
In the httpd.conf file I have added:

Include e:/Jakarta-Tomcat-3.3a/conf/jk/mod_jk.conf

And I have defined some alias in the httpd.conf file like

Alias /services "e:/Jakarta-Tomcat-3.3a/webapps/services"

and other Directiory restrictions that it's not necessary to write.

I have the 'mod_jk.con', the 'workers.properties' and the
'wrappers.properties' files in the 'conf/jk' directory.

I put the 'mod_jk.conf' contents here:

LoadModule jk_module e:/Jakarta-Tomcat-3.3a/modules/mod_jk.dll

AddModule mod_jk.c

JkWorkersFile e:/Jakarta-Tomcat-3.3a/conf/jk/workers.properties
JkLogFile e:/Jakarta-Tomcat-3.3a/logs/mod_jk.log
JkLogLevel error

JkMount /*.jsp ajp12

JkMount /servlet/* ajp12

JkMount /examples/* ajp12
JkMount /services/servlet/* ajp12

And I have configured in these properties files the TOMCAT_HOME and the
JAVA_HOME properties

I have the directory 'services' in the 'webapps' directory.

And I have the web.xml file in the WEB-INF directory in the
'webapps/services' directory.

I have put the servlets and other classes under the 'WEB-INF/classes' directory.

And I have also added the apps-services.xml file in the
'conf' directory of the Jakarta installation.

My question is if Its possible to know the way to configure the
server fro working properly.

Thanks !
