When I use the native2ascii convertor to convert a Shift-JIS file to unicode, it seems that some hex character such as 8D is converted ufffd, is it means that the character cannot be converted?
Besides, when converting a hex pattern say 97 5C 92, the resulting unicode will be u2014\u2019 instead of u2014\u2019 where the slash after 2014 is not escaped but the one before u2019 did, which produce wrong result. Is there any problem in reconizing 5C as slash for the convertor?
Any means to overcome these problems? pls advice, many thanks.
