This is a wierd one. We are using the latest JavaMail and Activation classes to send an SMTP mail through our mail server. When we compile it and run it as classes with all necessary classpaths, it send teh mail just fine. When we jar it up with all dependencies, we get the javax.mail.NoSuchProviderException:
No provider for Address type: rfc822 error.

We've also tried jarring up the sample client included with the API and tried to run that. We received the same error.

Any ideas?

The first thing that comes to mind is: Have you added a javamail.address.map?

(Please refer to the JavaMail Guide for Service Providers that comes with the JavaMail download, last chapter: Packaging)



If you feel that question doesnt apply to your case, can you please provide more details on your situation like an example of urls that cause the error...

It can't find your mail.provider file, or whatever the name is.
