Maintaining permissions while copying files

When copying a set of files from one directory to another the existing permissions seem to be stripped and all the files in the new location end up with exactly the same permissions, making me think that its defaulting to a set value (perhaps the shell default)


Does anyone know more about this, especially about how to preserve existing permissions.


I'm using ant v1.4 on Solaris

You can use or to set permissions, if that is a viable alternative for you.
