Hi, I have just started my research on the Logger class provided in the java.util package (this is according to the API on the sun site). But when I try to import this package java.util.logging.* , I receive the following error during compilation. Package java.util.logging not found in import. Is this not the package which is sposed to contain the logger classes? What am I doing wrong here?? I am totally lost... Could somebody please help me? Thanx a tonne, Anjali    More>>

Hi Anjali,

First, make sure that you have the correct Java VM. For the logging package you require J2SE 1.4.
You can check this on the command line by typing "java -version"

Next, I assume that you use a development environment. In there you might have a feature that automatically list you the available classes.

I am using Forte and there it gives me a list when I start with the package name.

Enjoy

Roger

This class is not available before JDK 1.4

Do you use this version of the JDK ?
