I want to access files in a relative fashion from a jar file using the 'jar:' protocol. For example -

URL hsURL = HelpSet.findHelpSet(null, "jar:file://..\myhelpfolder\myhelpfile.jar!myhelpindex.hss");

I read sometime back that this was a bug in JDK1.2. Can this be done now in JDK1.3? I couldn't get it to work. Is there a workaround? Thanks.

I've been using the jar protocol,
(exactly the same way you mentioned) in
the DTD declaration of an XML-file
with jdk1.3 and sun's implementation
of the XML-parser and it works fine.
