I know it is all over the place that JNI cannot be used within EJB's directly. Have you received any responses yet from other forums or in your research yet? I have been searching for about a week myself.

To date, my best solution is to setup a little RMI server for the purpose of calling the native library, and invoke that within the EJB/Servlet/JSP Bean. Not ideal, but it will work. It also minimizes exposure to the JBoss environment from leaks, etc. (common with new JNI code).
