javax.mail.SendFailedException: Sending failed; nested exception is: javax.mail.MessagingException: Unknown SMTP host: smtp.mail.yahoo.com; nested exception is: java.net.UnknownHostException: smtp.mail.yahoo.com


This is the error i got when tried to send email from a servlet via Yahoo stmp.

Note that same code worked fine a week ago , but now raised the above error.


Please advice.

I had a same problem.

In my opinion,
if you didn't send e-mail using outlook or other mail client, your office would be guarded by firewall.

because of security.
