how do I convert an Image object to 1-bit BMP format for HDML ?

I already have a converter that creates 8-bit(per pixel) BMP, but the file size is too big for the HDML device. I need a 1-bit BMP converter (black & white image) so the file size will be much smaller.


Any help will be greatly appreciated.
