Hi, We are developing an intranet / internet application using Websphere's Visual Age on an Oracle database. Does anybody have an idea on what the below error message means "JTS/JTA transaction has been aborted". This is a SQLException thrown when the "javax.sql.datasource.getConnection(username, password)" method is invoked, to get a connection to the database. The method is called from an entity bean. The error occurs randomly with certain Oracle user id's and we have not been able to pin point it yet. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks CNR    More>>

u can not open connection this way in an entity bean. if u r implemention BMP then u should get datasource or connection through lookup your datasource, or connectionpoll that u have created in websphere.
I used weblogic but I beleive that it would not much different.
