I've downloaded Sun's MIDP implementation for Palm OS, and I'm trying to run the HttpTest sample midlet, which creates a HttpConnection object using Connector.open(getUrl). However, I'm getting an javax.microedition.io.ConnectionNotFoundException, and an Error dialog with the message "http protocol not enabled. Please enable Networking preference" is displayed. However, when I run this I have a network connection, as I'm able to browse websites using Palmscape. Are there some extra setup steps which I need to run this? As HTTP is the only protocol which each MIDP implementation must support, I'm assuming that it's something that I'm (not) doing. Any help would   More>>

Any help would be appreciated.

You need to set Preferences in the MIDP Java Manager. If you are using Palm.net, you should set HTTP Proxy to 206.112.114.82. Hope this help.
