Hi !
Can anyone tell me
1. What is the latest version of IBM Websphere
2. What is the most popular Websphere version for EJB like weblogic 5.1 of BEA.
3. Which was the first version of Websphere the supported EJB.
4. Can I download trial version of Websphere, if so which is the site.

Here is some answers:



  1. The latest version is 3.5.3.
  2. WebSphere Application Server 3.5.3 advanced edition.

    http://www-4.ibm.com/software/webservers/appserv/

    However, I recommend you to wait until version 4.0. The 3.5.3 doesn't support the current version of EJB.
  3. I think it was the 3.X version. However, the 2.X version could also have some features built in.
  4. There is trial versions and developer editions of the server. See the link above.
