Adding log4j to VAJ

I'm trying to add log4j to VAJ 3.5.3. I use Import->Jar and pick the log4j.jar file but it won't import. The error it gives me is cryptic:



"An exception occurred in a system program.
Terminating Default (System)"



Any ideas as to why this won't import into VAJ ? I can't compile/deploy code because it won't recognize the org.apache.log4j classes.

I've imported log4j into VAJ with not problems. The "Exception ocurred in system program" error indicates it might be a problem with your workspace (see What is the meaining of the following message appearing in the Log window?

An exception occurred in a system program.

Terminating Default (System)
 for more details).

Could you check to see if you have package signatures that collide with org.apache.log4j.*!

Also, you could switch logging on for the ide.exe process.

Start VAJ like this and you'll get a log file that you may get more information from.

ide.exe -supportlog or

ide.exe -lcon
