Hi,

I have a Java program which is running in background. I find that when the computer is shutted down without exiting from the Java program firstly, an exception will be raised which is about javaw. Could anyone help me to solve this problem? The background task is just a timer thread to update a counter.

Yes, this is a bug in java under Windows -- it doesn't properly support Windows system messages (like "shut down now"). I don't know the solution.

wich exception? can you provide the piece of code where it happens?
