I need to control the versions of several kinds of files: .java, JSP, XML.
The .java files are developed with VisualAge and I would like to know how can I control all these files because VisualAge's versioning system does not allow all of them.
I have heard that CVS could be an ideal solution, can it be integrated somehow with VisualAge? if not, what do you suggest me?

Cause of VisualAge has already its own complex source repository, I don't think it has some features to integrated with CVS, but operations on CVS can be done at command line, so you can write your own batch/shell file to checkin/checkout your sources in CVS.

Make sure that VisualAge repository cannot handle JSP and XML... I find it a little strange.
