How does the introduction of JAAS affect the usage of JNDI? In what situations, JAAS should be used for authentication instead of JNDI?

As far as i Know the JAAS is enhancement in the security feature and support to authenticate and enforce access controls upon users. While JNDI for the naming services along with support for the interegation with Directory services (LDAP v3)
