Any idea as to why I can't type braces, square brackets and <> in Java apps (JEdit, Forte 4 Java) under lInux. System localisation is es (I'm in Spain with a Spanish keyboard). I'm currently using SUSE 7.1 although had the same problem with Mandrake 7.2. I use Sun's JDK 1.3. BTW, I can tyype these keys in the system console or other non-java apps so I suspect this is a jvm bug.
Am I right?
